Exercises that combat constipation the most are those which bring strong action to the abdominal muscles. By placing strain on the abdominal muscles the pressure in the intestines may be raised enough to dislodge stuck material to alive-ate constipation. Hill Climbing
By hill climbing you bring into play action of your abdominal muscles more so then walking on level ground.  If hill or mountain climbing is not available you can climb a ladder or go up or down flights of stairs. You can even use some tread mills to simulate hill or mountain climbing. Horse Back Riding This exercise is especially indicated for a good exercise for constipation. Thought the persons accustomed to riding needs to ride for great distance or ride a hard trotting horse for this to be a effective use.

Rowing
Rowing is one of the most excellent ways to combat constipation, provided that the chest is held high throughout the exercise, and especially if care is exercised to give the trunk as strong a backward movement as possible. However one should  avoid holding the trunk forward with the shoulders rounded with the chest depressed.

Tennis
Tennis is wonder full sport for young persons as well as those who are in shape for this form of exercise.  This exercise my be to vigorous for persons with weak hearts.

The Medicine Ball
 This is a great exercise for people who are strong enough.  It brings the muscles of the trunk into vigorous action.

Work exercises 
The movements of chopping, digging, lawn mowing and swinging the hammer if great care is taken to keep good posture through the activities.  Many house hold occupations such has  washing, scrubbing and other general house work are excellent forms of exercise when good posture is maintained.
